Andre Hernandez Success Story

Posted by Josh BryantI want to congratulate one of my clients, Andre Hernandez, for the amazing progress he has made over the past 12 weeks. Andre is one of the most sought out speed coaches in Southern California and coaches varsity football for a very successful program in San Diego. The man works 70 hours a week and still finds time to train and make gains!!! Great job, brother! Andre did not miss any workouts and followed everything to a tee. Andre lost 5 pounds over the duration of 12 weeks but still made exceptional strength gains. Andre started with a 320 squat, a 265 touch-and-go bench press, a 365 deadlift and a 135 overhead press. After 12 weeks, Andre now has a 395 squat, 295 (PAUSED BENCH PRESS), 435 deadlift and a 155 overhead press. I appreciate your hard work, awesome job, Andre!
In Andres own words:
“Hey Josh finished testing this week. I was very happy with the numbers. Bench-295(this was a grinder but was able to keep my hips down, it came off chest fast after pause but stalled about 3/4 way from lockout, 285 was easy. Attempted 315 but, another day. Squat-365,375,395. Was very happy with this considering my body weight of a very light 160! Was solid but was pressed for time so and didn't want to skip the rest of my work. Standing press was 155. Felt good. Dead lift I am very happy with, I smashed 405 then nailed 435, 455 broke the ground but I just couldn't keep the lift going up. All in all I am very happy with everything. Some other fun stuff- I performed 32 dead hang chin ups. Repped 225 for 9 and sprinted a hand time 4.50 forty this week. I haven't done any sprint training other then demonstrating sprint technique for my clients. Thank you for everything and God bless!”

I want to congratulate one of my clients, Regina Raine, for the tremendous progress she has made over the past nine months. Regina set her mind to a 350 pound deadlift at the beginning of the year. When I first started working with her, she made a hard-fought 300 pound deadlift and the 315 pound bar wouldn’t budge. She has gone up in all of her lifts. She is now able to do bench presses and squats with full range of motion because of increased mobility. In a recent meet, she made an easy 370 pound deadlift and had 400 pounds up to her knees. She is 56 years old but can outwork anyone half her age. She is one of the most disciplined, dedicated, and hardworking human beings I have ever worked with. She is quite possibly the nicest person I know. Check out this video of Regina hitting a 365 pound deadlift in training!
