Why do people train with the JoshStrength Method?

Being a motivator is one of Josh's greatest qualities. In designing your personal program, Josh is completely focused on making sure you achieve your goals, whatever they may be - and that usually means keeping you motivated! He has worked with people from a broad spectrum of abilities: from top-level professional athletes, strength and conditioning at the Division I level, football at the high school level, to the everyday person who wants to drop a few pounds or simply get in shape.

Josh Bryant uses superior, cutting edge training techniques. A dedicated speed, strength and conditioning coach Josh works one-on-one and in small group settings to provide athletes of all walks of life with the skills they need to push themselves to the next level. Having been a strength coach for several state championship teams in Texas and California Josh help many athletes achieve their career goals. UCLA is among the prestigious establishments for whom he has had the pleasure to provide his training expertise. His location of choice for coaching one-on-one has been the world famous Metroflex Gym in Arlington, Texas and, for non-local athletes, the Internet has been a great vehicle.

While using the JoshStrength Method, he has trained world record setting powerlifters, women fitness competitors, Olympic athletes, professional fighters, NCAA champions, and a host of high school athletes who have received collegiate scholarships. Along with ISSA certifications in fitness training, nutrition, and conditioning, Josh has been awarded the prestigious title of Master of Fitness Sciences (MFS). He was also recently named the ISSA Director of Applied Strength and Power Development. In addition to being certified by the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and by NASM as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), Josh completed his Masters degree in Exercise Science, with an emphasis in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention at California University of Pennsylvania.

What separates Josh Bryant from other trainers?

Josh's educational background and the goals he has helped his clients achieve, demonstrate his understanding of exercise science, physiology and nutrition. Many people with education in Exercise Science lack the proverbial 'hands-on' experience and only understand the theory behind it. One important key in Josh's success is his ability to bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

Unlike many trainers, Josh does not have clients perform the same workouts over and over again. Not only will the body adapt quickly and will progress cease, but this will often cause the trainee to become mentally stale. Changing the training protocol keeps things fun and engaging. After all, the fitness journey should be fun and motivating!

As the body changes, so does the exercise program. There is no set prescription of exercises, sets, reps, or rest intervals that we will always repeat. Variety in the training program ensures success and achievement of set goals.

Personal trainers often train their clients the same way they train themselves. Not Josh.

As an expert personal trainer, Josh believes that the ability to motivate, to understand safe progression, and to properly educate clients are some of the key elements that separate elite trainers from the average ones. He also understands that not everyone wants to be a professional athlete, bodybuilder or powerlifter and as such, their regimen should reflect just that.

After seeing his clients' results along with the transformation he made with his own body, it becomes clear that Josh understands how to make the body change. If you are looking to seriously drop pounds, trying to bulk up for high school football, wanting to improve your health or personal appearance, he will design an individualized regimen to help you achieve your goals. Everyone has different needs, body types, fitness levels, goals and available time. This is why the programs designed by Josh are always tailored accordingly, to best meet your needs.

How can Josh help me simply stay fit without being 'super' muscular?

Simple! Josh is also certified as a Specialist in Performance Nutrition (PNS). Working with a Personal Trainer such as Josh may provide you with the ability to achieve your personal training goals. Being fit does not require you to become 'super' muscular by any means! Josh understand the physiology of the human body very well, which is how he can tailor a program to meet your specific needs. For instance, one of the most important ways to change body composition is through diet. Josh understands this and provides you with a custom diet to follow and help you achieve your goals. He also understands that to look a certain way, you must eat and train a certain way. He tailors his client's diets and workout plans accordingly.
