Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people train with Josh Bryant?
- Josh Bryant’s
best quality is as a motivator. Josh has worked with top level
athletes, coached strength & conditioning at the division one level,
and coached football at the high school level. Josh uses superior
cutting edge training techniques and is a wizard with diet. Besides
working with every type of population and producing results, Josh
has three major certifications. Josh Bryant has the scientific
background as well as the “in the trenches experience” it takes to
produce results.
What separates Josh Bryant from other
trainers?
- Josh’s
educational background and the real world goals he has helped
clients achive, demonstrate his understanding of exercise science
and physiology. Many people schooled in exercise science lack the
practical experience and just understand theory. Josh understands
what to do when the rubber hits the road. Josh walks the walk.
Unlike most
trainers, Josh does not have clients perform the same workouts over
and over again. Not only will the body adapt quickly and cease
progress, this causes the trainee to become mentally stale.
Changing the training protocol causes the body to never adapt and
keeps things fun. After all - the fitness journey should be fun!
As the body
changes so does the exercise program. There is no set prescription
of exercises, sets, reps, or rest intervals that we will always
follow. Variety is the spice of life.
Most
personal trainers, train their clients the same way they train
themselves. Does Josh fall into this mold?
- Absolutely
not!!! The ability to motivate, understanding safe progression, and
education: Josh believes this is what separates elite trainers from
average ones. Josh understands not everyone wants to be a pro
athlete, bodybuilder or powerlifter. However, after seeing what
Josh has done with his own body and the results his clients have
achieved, it is clear Josh understands how to make the body change!
If you are looking to drop ten pounds, trying to bulk up for high
school football, just want to improve your health, or have a purely
aestetic goal, Josh will design a protocol to help you achieve your
goals. Everyone has different goals, body types, fitness levels,
and available time…Josh understands this and designs the program
accordingly.
I am an athlete – can Josh help me?
- Absolutely!
Josh is certified as a Specialist in Sports Conditioning (SSC)
through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA.) Josh
served as head strength and conditioning coach for Carpinteria High
School along with coaching linebackers. Josh also served as
assistant Speed, Strength and Conditioning Coach at UCLA and was
mentored by the legendary Doc Kreis who has been voted Strength and
Conditioning Coach of the year by the National Strength and
Conditioning Association (NSCA.) Doc Kreis also helped author the
ISSA (SPN) course and has written many books. While at UCLA, Josh
worked with football, basketball and softball. Josh is a master
motivator and a genius with strength training and speed
development.
What if I don’t want to get “super” muscular like Josh?
- Simple! Josh
is certified as a performance nutrition specialist. The number one
way to change body composition is through diet. Josh understands
this and includes a custom tailored diet for his clients to follow
and help them achieve their goals! Josh also understands that to
look a certain way, you must train a certain way, and sets up his
client’s workout plans accordingly.
